Drei Häuser – einzigartig

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

Tori-Tori Restaurant in Mexico in neuem Gewand

Sunday, October 4th, 2009

Das japanische Restaurant Tori-Tori zieht um und bekommt ein wunderbares Gewand um ihr neues Heim – ich liebe tiefe und strukturierte Fassaden wie diese.

(thx 2 designboom)

japanese restaurant tori -tori in mexico city due to its success is now moving to a bigger location in polanco, mexico city, where architect michel rojkind of rojkind arquitectos and industrial designer hector esrawe of esrawe studio have teamed up to design it.

the building’s organic façade and landscape were carefully designed to become an extension of the restaurant creating a strong relationship between the inside and the outside.
each room has its own nature and shows a clear relationship with its function. the furniture was inspired and made for tori tori and developed with a direct orientation through each space.
during more than eight months a complete collection of chairs and tables were created, for both exterior and interior use.

the façade as if mimicking the natural ivy surrounding the retaining walls, is made up of
two self supporting layers of steel plates cut with a cnc machine and handcrafted to exact
specifications.

555 Kubik – How it would be, if a house was dreaming

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Sehr phatte 3D-Projektion …

<Snip von Urbanartcore>

The Basic idea of “555 Kubik – How it would be, if a house was dreaming” by Urban Screen was to dissolve and break through the strict architecture of O. M. Ungers “Gallery of Contemporary Art” in Hamburg.
